As a Lawn Care Technician, you will deliver high-quality lawn and landscape services to residential clients, including fertilizer, weed and insect control, and non-turf/bed weed treatments. You’ll work outdoors, travel locally, and represent our company with professionalism and care. The role offers a salary-based pay plus performance bonuses tied to quality work and client onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
Apply lawn care products (fertilizers, weed control, insect control) according to schedule, safety rules, and product label instructions.
Perform monthly weed control for non-turf areas such as rock beds, patios, pavers, and landscape beds.
Diagnose basic lawn or landscape problems (e.g., pests, weeds, soil issues) and provide feedback/recommendations.
Maintain detailed treatment and service records, and report completed services.
Maintain equipment and company vehicle: daily inspection, cleaning, fueling and safe operation.
Provide excellent customer service: communicate professionally with clients, respect their property, and uphold company standards.
Assist in onboarding new clients and contribute to business growth through referrals or basic sales (where appropriate and comfortable).
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Reliable attendance and good time-management skills (on-time, with dependable work ethic).
Physical stamina and ability to perform outdoor work including standing, walking on uneven terrain, lifting and carrying equipment/materials (e.g., up to 50 lbs).
Basic mechanical aptitude / comfort using lawn-care equipment (spreaders, sprayers, etc.) or willingness to learn.
Good communication and customer-service skills ability to interact pleasantly and professionally with clients.
Ability to read, follow, and apply treatment instructions and safety procedures precisely (fertilizer/weed control, labeling, safety guidelines).
