Hi, I’m Vic, owner of Pastime Lawn Care here in Star, Idaho.
I grew up in a baseball-loving family, and from an early age I’ve always had a connection to the smell of freshly cut grass. While my dream of playing in the big leagues didn’t come true, I was fortunate to live out another calling — serving 32 years with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
After retiring, my wife, our two boys, and I made the move to Star in 2022. With more time to pursue my lifelong passion for lawns and gardening, I completed the University of Idaho Extension Master Gardener Program, where I continue to serve in good standing. Each year, I volunteer through public education programs, including representing the Ada County Master Gardeners as a guest presenter for lawn care at the Dirt on Gardening series hosted by the Star Library.
Through Pastime Lawn Care, I bring that same discipline, pride, and attention to detail that guided me through my law enforcement career. My approach is simple — old-school care and hometown pride in every yard I touch.
At Pastime Lawn Care, I don’t just mow lawns — I treat each one like it’s part of the neighborhood I’m proud to call home.
