What type of sod grass do you offer and work with?
We offer Saint Augustine, Zoysia, Bermuda, and Bahia which are are all warm-season grasses.

Saint Augustine Grass:
Thrives in warm, coastal areas and is well-adapted to heat and humidity. It forms a dense, carpet-like turf with deep green color.
Zoysia Grass:
Offers excellent heat tolerance and drought resistance. It forms a dense, soft turf and can adapt to various light conditions.
Bermuda Grass:
Highly drought-tolerant and well-suited for sunny, warm climates. It’s known for its durability and quick recovery in high-traffic areas.
Bahia Grass:
Drought-resistant and low-maintenance, making it ideal for warm climates with minimal irrigation. These warm-season grasses are best suited for regions with hot summers and mild winters, typically found in the southern United States and other tropical to subtropical areas.
Do you offer any sod or grass for shaded areas of the lawn?
Yes we do! Among the grass types we offer, which are Saint Augustine Grass, Zoysia Grass, Bermuda and Bahia grasses, two stand out for their shade tolerance:

Saint Augustine Grass:
Known for its excellent shade tolerance, making it ideal for yards with trees or partial shade. It can thrive in areas that receive less direct sunlight compared to other warm-season grasses.

Zoysia Grass:
While not as shade-tolerant as Saint Augustine, certain varieties of Zoysia (like Palisades Zoysia) offer good shade tolerance. It can adapt to various light conditions, including partial shade.

Bermuda and Bahia grasses are not typically recommended for shaded areas as they require full sun exposure to thrive. For heavily shaded areas, Saint Augustine would be the best choice among these options.

What is the cost of installing new sod in my yard?
The cost of installing new sod depends on several factors: the removal of existing turf, the installation of new sod, and ongoing care. The type and availability of the sod you choose will also impact the total price. By considering these factors and the size of your lawn, you can better estimate the overall cost. To find out the exact amount please contact our office at (904) 708-8417 and schedule a free sodding quote for your specific project.
Is it possible to lay sod over or next to existing grass?
We highly recommend and insist for new sod to be always be installed over properly prepared and graded topsoil, not over existing lawn. Laying sod over existing grass can lead to weed infiltration, changes in elevation, and potential sod failure. While sod can be placed next to existing lawn to repair dead areas, the difference may be noticeable for some time.
