A properly maintained lawn is your best defense against weeds!
1 to 1.5" water per week, 2 to 3 fertilizations per growing season, & regular mowing will help maintain strong turfgrass.
When to fertilize
Late April / early May - fertilizer with crabgrass preventer.
Early July - only if irrigated. This should be 50%+ slow release nitrogen.
Late Sept / mid Oct - winterizer.

Early / mid May before dandelions bloom.
