Humble Beginnings, my name is Shane Martin the owner of Tree Frog (fully relying on God) Lawn Care, this is our story. 2017 after working as an EMT for approximately 10 years and believing I would make a career of it, I found HE had other plans. I got injured on the job and went through a nine month healing process. What I thought was just physical brokenness was really secondary to the void in my own heart. A void that only GOD could fill. See, I was raised knowing Jesus but did not have a relationship with Him. I found HIS love during my physical healing process. I slowly got involved in Church, joined a men’s study group, starting to read the Word for myself, and learned that prayer was a conversation between Jesus and myself. Best of all, I had a praying wife behind me.
When I was finally medically released for work. I found out very fast that I would be stepping down. I put in my two weeks notice at the end of my first 24hr shift! Everyone thought I was crazy! But the one that provides had other plans for my life. I came home to a lawn mower on my front porch with a tag that said “GIFT from God”! NO JOKE a gift from God on my front porch! My lawn mower had recently died and I truly don’t recall telling anyone. The next day, I mowed my yard and noticed my next door neighbors (he serves in the US ARMY and she was pregnant with their second child) yard needing the same. Doing what I thought was the right thing, I mowed their lawn. After getting done, she told me they had just been discussing getting a lawn guy. She then recommended me to a friend & from there Tree Frog Lawn Care was born. I started with the 21” Push Mower, Lowes homeowner string trimmer, electrical plug in black n decker hedge trimmer and electrical hand held leaf blower! To top it all off I put all that in the back of my Subaru Forester!
Now going into our third year (2020) we are blessed to have a full professional truck and trailer setup, all commercial mowers and hand held equipment. We serve more then 100 combined residential and commercial customers who I not only love and appreciate but know from their kindness appreciate me.
We look forward to serving others for years to come. Will continue to stand on HIS promises. Deuteronomy 15:10 Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.
