Susquehanna Lawn Care
Ronnie Spurlin, the owner of Susquehanna Lawn Care, has been providing lawn care and landscaping services as a side hustle for over 16 years now.
Ronnie always worked his way up to management positions with all of the companies he worked for over the years and provided well for his family.
His burning desire to follow his passion of caring for lawns and landscapes for a living finally caught up with him in 2017 and he made SuskyLawn.com official.

- We can collect and remove your leaves completely from your property, or blow them into the woodline if you have one available on your property. Another option is mulching the leaves back into the lawn if there are not too many.
-
- Core lawn aerating consists of pulling thousands of plugs from your lawn’s soil. This allows water and nutrients to travel deeper into your soil and your turf’s root system will dig deep to retrieve them.
- Over Seeding - We overseed bare spots in lawns, entire existing lawns, and even brand new lawns when given the opportunity. Overseeding simply refers to seeding a lawn that already has existing grass. The purpose is to thicken up any thin or bare spot to limit the opportunity for weeds to enter your lawn. Consider having us overseed your lawn after an aeration or dethatching service, both of these prepare the soil well to sow grass seed.
- Turf Dethatching - Thatch is natural and all thatch is not bad! All thatch is, is plant material, mainly old grass blades, laying on top of your soil surface slowing breaking down and working their way back into your soil as nutrients. The problem is if this thatch layer gets too thick it will keep enough water from reaching your soil beneath. If your thatch layer is becoming too thick, we highly recommend having this service performed for the health of your lawn.
- Shrub Pruning - We prune shrubs of all shapes, sizes, and types; boxwoods, roses, evergreens, and more. We also trim trees under 10′ tall and cut back perennials and ornamental grasses. Before any pruning service is considered complete, we clean up our mess!
- Mulch Refreshing - Our mulch service is only offered to existing clients, that are also receiving other regular services from us such as lawn mowing. We are a small business and mulch jobs become a little time consuming and conflict with our mowing schedule. We hope you can understand and are happy to try to point you in the right direction if you are looking for a mulch service.
- Spring Clean Up - Our favorite time of the year! There is a lot happening in the lawns and landscapes in Maryland each spring. Let us help you stay on top of it all by handling any of the yard work for you. Our spring clean service consists of whatever is needed to prepare your lawn and landscape for the growing season. Most often we pick up remaining leaves and debris from the winter months.
- Fall Clean Up - Leaf city! The primary service included in our fall clean up service is leaf removal, so much so that it has its own section on this page. Other common fall landscape cleanup services that can be performed if needed include a final pruning of your bushes, cutting back perennials and ornamentals, and/or cleaning up overgrown areas of your lawn or landscape. Whatever it takes to have your lawn looking great for the holidays, we will get it done.
- Leaf Removal - Leaf removal is the most needed and common lawn service in the fall.
