Do I need a contract to use your services?
We offer flexible options depending on your needs.
One-time services like mulch installation, bed cleanup, or storm debris removal are always available—no contract needed.
For weekly or bi-weekly mowing, we require a 7-month lawn care contract (April–October) to ensure consistent care throughout the growing season.
We also offer 12-month bespoke property service contracts for clients looking for full-year coverage.
For 7-month contract customers, we offer a 5-month "Cold Month Extension" package (November–March) that includes leaf, stick, and cone removal, as well as general off-season cleanup (blowing, edging, etc.) at a discounted per-service rate.
What if it rains on my scheduled service day?
We closely monitor weather conditions. If service is delayed due to rain or storms, we’ll reschedule as soon as possible—typically within 1–2 business days. You'll always be notified if your schedule changes.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, checks, cash, and digital payments such as Venmo or PayPal. All regular services are invoiced electronically, and you can pay securely online at your convenience.
Can I request a specific mowing day?
You’re welcome to request a preferred mowing day, and we’ll try our best to accommodate it. However, final scheduling is determined by route efficiency and weather. Our routes are carefully planned to keep services reliable and costs fair.
Do you offer one-time cleanups or special projects?
Yes! We provide a variety of one-time services including garden bed cleanup, storm debris removal, hedge trimming, mulch or pinestraw installation, and more. These are ideal before hosting events or transitioning between seasons.
Do you offer bundled or seasonal service packages?
Absolutely. We offer bundled seasonal services for spring, summer, and fall maintenance, as well as add-on packages for property cleanups, mulch refreshes, and cold-season care. Ask about customizing a plan that works for your property and budget.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Sandpiper Landscapes is a registered LLC in South Carolina and carries general liability insurance to protect both your property and our team.
What’s included in your standard lawn care service?
Our standard service includes mowing, trimming along all edges and hardscapes, blowing off debris from sidewalks and driveways, and basic visual inspection of the property. Every visit leaves your yard clean, sharp, and professionally maintained.
Do you offer mulch and pinestraw installation?
Yes! We install both mulch and pinestraw with proper bed preparation, defined edging, and even coverage. You can choose your preferred material, or we can recommend what works best for your landscape and soil type.
Can you clean up my yard after a storm?
Absolutely. We offer storm damage cleanup that includes branch and debris removal, leaf blowing, and general tidying of your lawn and beds. We do not remove trees or large branches from your home, nor do we remove entire trees. This service is available as a one-time appointment and often scheduled within 48 hours of major storms.
Do you trim hedges and small trees?
Yes, we provide hedge trimming and light pruning for small ornamental trees and shrubs. We’ll shape and clean up your greenery with an eye for aesthetics and plant health. Larger or high-reach tree work may be referred to a specialist.
Do you offer landscape design or planting services?
We offer basic landscape design and plant installation, ideal for freshening up garden beds, adding curb appeal, or reworking outdated spaces. Whether you want new flowers, shrubs, or small trees, we’ll help you choose, source, and install them with care.
Do you offer irrigation system repairs?
Yes, we provide basic irrigation troubleshooting and repairs including broken heads, leaky lines, clogged nozzles, and misaligned spray patterns. For more complex electrical or control board issues, we may refer you to a licensed irrigation specialist.
Can you adjust my irrigation schedule or help program my timer?
Absolutely. We can assist with programming most residential irrigation controllers to align with seasonal needs, water restrictions, and optimal plant health. This can be added as part of a routine visit or a one-time service.
Do you offer irrigation inspections?
Yes. We offer irrigation system walkthroughs to check for leaks, broken heads, mistiming, dry zones, or inefficiencies. This is a great seasonal add-on, especially before summer or after winter dormancy.
Can you help with bare spots or thinning grass?
Yes! We offer lawn rejuvenation services including overseeding, light aeration, and topdressing to promote healthy regrowth in thin or patchy areas. We'll assess the issue and recommend a plan based on grass type, soil condition, and season.
Do you offer weed control or fertilization services?
We do offer basic fertilization services, but we do not apply chemical weed control or pesticide-based treatments. For clients needing herbicide or advanced chemical applications, we’re happy to coordinate with your current provider or refer you to a licensed local applicator. Our approach focuses on turf health—offering fertilization, seasonal overseeding, and proper mowing practices to naturally improve density and help suppress weed growth over time.
Do I need to water my lawn after service?
In most cases, no immediate watering is necessary after mowing. However, if you've had overseeding, planting, or turf repair done, we’ll provide specific watering instructions at the time of service.
What should I do with my pets before service?
Please ensure pets are safely indoors or contained prior to your scheduled service. This helps protect both your animals and our crew. We’ll always close gates securely after finishing.
Do you leave grass clippings behind?
Yes, we mulch clippings in place to return nutrients to your lawn. If clumping occurs or heavy growth leaves visible clumps, we will disperse or remove them. Bagging can be added upon request for an additional fee.
Will you blow off my patio, driveway, and sidewalks after mowing?
Yes. Every mowing service includes blowing debris off all hard surfaces such as driveways, sidewalks, porches, and patios. Your property will always be left clean and tidy.
What if I notice something wrong after my service?
We take pride in doing the job right—but if you notice anything that seems off (a missed area, damaged plant, etc.), please contact us within 24 hours. We’ll respond quickly and make it right.
